    The mischief maker in me says "hey, open relationships spawn creativity that will certainly speed your dissertation-writing" (My own was finished in a blast of pretty amazing promiscuity.)

    But then I wasn't navigating a long-term relationship at the time... and I was only about a semester away from finishing when that blast started ... and ...

    ...on second thought, scratch that and get back to work ;)
